1. Acceptance of these terms
By downloading or using the WristwatchKeep mobile app or this website (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. The Service is provided by Peter Chan ("we", "us").
2. The service
WristwatchKeep is an app for keeping a record of your personal watch collection. You can log each watch with its purchase details and photos, record its service history, sort watches into your own colour-coded groups, keep a wish list of watches you want, record your own estimate of a watch's value, open web searches about a watch, and export your collection as a spreadsheet. We may add, change or remove features as the app develops.
3. Your account
You need an account to keep a collection in WristwatchKeep. You can sign up with an email and password, with Google, or with Apple on iPhone. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you will not:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Try to get into our systems or into other people's accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service, for example by overloading it
- Upload photos or other content that you don't have the right to use, or that is illegal
5. Price
WristwatchKeep is currently free to download and use, with no in-app purchases or subscriptions. If we ever introduce paid features, we'll show the price clearly in the app before you buy, and we'll update these terms first.
6. Your content
Everything you add to WristwatchKeep — your watch records, notes, service history, wish list and photos — stays yours. By using the Service, you give us only the limited permission we need to store that content, back it up and show it back to you. Your collection is private to your account; we don't publish it or share it with other users.
Please keep your own copy of anything important. You can export your collection as a CSV file at any time from Profile → Your data.
7. Information in the app
WristwatchKeep is a record-keeping tool. The values, prices and other figures in it are the ones you enter, and totals are worked out from them. They are not appraisals, and an estimated value you enter is your own estimate, not a valuation from us. The research links open third-party websites such as Google, Chrono24 and eBay; we don't control those sites and aren't responsible for what they show. Please don't rely on the app alone for insurance, tax, buying or selling decisions.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, code and branding, belongs to Peter Chan and is protected by intellectual property laws. These terms don't give you any rights to our name or branding. Watch brand and model names that appear in the app belong to their owners.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We work hard to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Peter Chan will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including the loss of data. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time, in the app under Profile → Password & account → Delete Account — see the data deletion page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in California. If you live somewhere that gives you consumer rights these terms can't take away, those rights still apply.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
